Do you want to straighten your teeth but don’t want to spend time traditional braces require? You can with Fastbraces®. Fastbraces is a revolutionary system that can straighten your teeth in half the time or less than traditional braces.
Danielle Greene, DDS, and her team at Fabulous Smiles of Atlanta are experts at providing Fastbraces. Dr. Greene can give you an exam and let you know if you’re a candidate for Fastbraces and give you a timeline for how long it could take for you to see a beautiful new smile.
Why Fastbraces works fast
With traditional braces, your crowns are moved in the first year, and your roots are moved in the second year. With Fastbraces, the roots and crowns of your teeth are moved at the same time.
Because both parts of your teeth are moved simultaneously, Fastbraces can give you a new smile in a remarkably short amount of time. Most patients need their Fastbraces for about a year, which is about half the time needed for traditional braces. In some cases, you may only need your Fastbraces for about 100 days.
The problems Fastbraces can fix
Fastbraces can fix many dental issues, including:
- Overbites and underbites
- Cross bites or open bites
- Generally crooked teeth
- Crowding or excessive spaces
If you have an overbite, underbite, or crossbite — among others — you are at risk of developing numerous dental issues. Furthermore, your speech may be affected, and you may have problems reaching all of your teeth to properly clean them. The sooner you straighten your teeth, the quicker you can correct these issues.
The process of getting Fastbraces
Getting Fastbraces is similar to getting traditional braces, though with a few differences. You likely won’t need any extractions with Fastbraces, which are sometimes needed with traditional braces.
Part of the reason Fastbraces works differently is the shape of the brackets and wires. The unique triangular brackets enable the roots of your teeth to move along with the crowns. And the square wire used with Fastbraces eliminates the need for extra bands.
You’ll still need to see Dr. Greene regularly while you wear your Fastbraces, just as you would if you had traditional braces. Similarly, brushing and flossing daily is important, just as it is with traditional braces.
Once your braces are removed, you’ll need to wear a retainer, but for much less time than you’d need to with traditional braces. You’ll likely only need to wear your retainer for a few hours a day to maintain your smile.
Fastbraces can provide psychological benefits
Having crooked teeth can cause anxiety and self-consciousness, but so can wearing braces as an adult. With Fastbraces, you may be able to see progress in a matter of days, giving you confidence as you continue treatment. Furthermore, you’ll know that Fastbraces will fix your teeth quicker than traditional braces, giving you added motivation to hang in there.
